Reatta was positioned as a luxury two-place car with a combination of sporty and aerodynamic styling, nimble handling and a comfortable and quiet "Buick ride". The 3800 V-6 with the four-speed automatic transmission was the only power train offered. The only extra cost options were a power sunroof, 16 way adjustable driver’s seat and a CD player (in 1990 and 1991)
